The Bottom Line Simulation App

A web-based simulation platform that lets teams build and operate a virtual consulting firm. The app allows users to design their firm, adjusting their line of business, setting their specialization, and adjusting various operating parameters. It then powers a competitive bidding marketplace where teams vie for projects in real time, and compete on a gamified leaderboard driven by teams’ simulated firm’s performance.

  • Defined product vision and core features, creating a platform that blends firm-building with real-time competitive bidding.

  • Designed end-to-end user experience for team-based gameplay, including firm setup flows, operating parameter adjustments, and bidding mechanics.

  • Architected gamification and leaderboard mechanics, ensuring competitive scoring, project outcomes, and real-time feedback were engaging and intuitive.

  • Created interactive prototypes and conducted user testing, refining gameplay, navigation, and decision-making flows for clarity and accessibility.

  • Delivered final UI design, including polished visual assets for firm dashboards, project bidding, and leaderboard visualization.

  • Designed the administrative interface, providing program admins a place to support cohorts via chat, manage teams, award bids, merge teams, oversee simulation operations, and more.

  • Collaborated with engineering and content teams, translating complex simulation rules into clear technical specifications and user interactions.
